Enos Garcia Elementary | Taos, NM | Current  In 2008, LDG conducted an in-depth spatial analysis of the campuses of Enos Garcia and Taos Elementary located in downtown Taos. Serving the district since 1940 and 1957, respectively-when Enos was the high school-these two campuses are the oldest active school facilities.  Currently serving as a unified community, Enos Garcia Elementary, as it is known, houses 700 students in grades K-5.  The master plan describes how to unify the two campus to better share resources and documents the many and necessary revisions for the campuses.

While keeping in mind the school's and the town's anticipated growth, LDG's plans include improved pedestrian and vehicular circulation, interior renovations, mechanical systems upgrades, ADA compliance upgrades, better playgrounds, phasing-out of modular facilities and new construction for Music, Library, Art, Media Center, Staff Offices and a  Multipurpose Gymnasium.
